| I have been working with those who are dying – through groups and on a one-to-one basis – for over ten years. I was drawn to the work because it seemed an intelligent and practical way to combine my background in nursing and meditation.
Though I am available to work with others, I tend to be with those who have some experience of meditation. If they have been regularly meditating, they have already done the most important groundwork for dying – in that they have experienced that they are not those aspects of themselves that are going to die; they are something other than the bodymind.. They have greater clarity about what their particular issues are, and will be more open to facing and working through them. Being a meditator also enhances their capacity to stay more conscious when dying. Supporting such people is tremendously rewarding because they undergo rapid changes in their understanding. So the work we do together is profoundly transforming – not just for them but also for those close to them. If you are seeking individual guidance for yourself or someone else, or are interested in inviting Maneesha to your city to run a group on dying, and can organize such an event, contact her. |
